After a brief hiatus the sixth season of Rick and Morty with the self-referential episode “Full Meta Jackrick.” It’s an episode that acts as a sequel to “Never Ricking Morty.” Rick and Morty find they have the target of a space parasite that makes them experience past events that never really happened. When they break free from […]
The previous episode of Rick and Morty, “Final DeSmithation” was a disappointment with the plot centred around incest. “Juricksic Mort” sees the show return to a more traditional story. A group of advanced dinosaurs land on Earth and seeing how much humanity has buggered up the planet decide to act as benevolent overlords. Due to Earth turning into […]
Rick and Morty had been on a hot streak with “Rick: A Mort Well Lived,” “Bethic Twinstinct,” and “Night Family.” However, with “Final DeSmithation,” Rick and Morty has fallen into more juvenile territory. After having a meal at Panda Express, Jerry gets a fortune cookie saying he will have sex with his mum. Jerry treats the fortune seriously […]
“Rick: A Mort Well Lived” and “Bethic Twinstinct” have been great episodes of Rick and Morty and showed that there’s still life in the show. “Night Family” is even better and the best episode of Season Six, so far. Rick has brought a device that allowed him to programme his body to do tasks whilst he’s asleep. […]
Rick and Morty are having their second Thanksgiving episode. This episode sees Space Beth joining the Smith family for the holiday, resulting in emotional upheaval for the family. Following on from the lore-heavy “Solaricks,” the second episode of Rick and Morty’s sixth season was more of a standalone affair. Alien terrorists have attacked Blips and Chitz. This happened at the worst possible time because Morty ends up trapped in Roy: A Life Well Lived and his mind split across all the NPCs. Rick goes into the […]
Rick and Morty have returned for its sixth season. The first episode, “Solaricks” needed to resolve “Rickmurai Jack’s” cliffhanger. The Citadel has been destroyed and Rick and Morty are stranded in space. They are saved by Space Beth who takes them back to Earth. When Rick tries to reset his portal fluid he accidentally sends himself, […]
In December 2020, I wrote that there is “hope in the future for diverse storylines and expanded representation,” adding that there is “a lot to look forward to in 2021 in terms of animated series…[which] will undoubtedly affect the ongoing war between streaming platforms for more subscribers, profits for themselves, and film distribution itself.” That […]
Season Five of Rick and Morty has been seen as a downgrade in quality. “Rickternal Friendship of the Spotless Mort” show there is still plenty of life in the show. The Smith family goes on a cruise and leaves Rick home alone. Rick uses this time to resurrect Birdperson who had been turned into a cyborg by […]
Rick and Morty is a weird show. The episode “Gotron Jerrysis Rickvangelion” somehow combines anime, gangster films, and one of the worst plot developments in Rick and Morty’s history. When going to Boob World with Morty and Summer, Rick finds the Blue Gotron Ferret. This means Rick has finally completed his collection of Gotron Ferrets and […]
